Big Pharmaceutical companies are forcing the FDA to create negative propaganda about Kratom.

Host of America’s Lawyer Mike Papantonio joins RT America’s Ed Schulz and explains how big pharmaceutical companies are pushing the FDA to criminalize kratom. Mike Papantonio is an American attorney and television and radio talk show host. He is also the ex-president of The National Trial Lawyers, the most prestigious trial lawyer association in America.  He is also one of the few living attorneys inaugurated into the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame. He hosts the television show "America's Lawyer" and co-hosts “Ring of Fire” Radio, a nationally syndicated weekly radio program, with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Sam Seder.

Kratom has the potential to cut into the profits of big pharmaceutical companies and many people are choosing Kratom over the painkillers currently on the market. Papantonio goes on to say quote

“Anytime the FDA starts one of these hysterias, I worry about the FDA. Look, I work against and with the FDA all the time. Had Kratom had the name Merck or Pfizer or Bayer on top of it, we wouldn’t be seeing any of this. I can promise you when all the smoke clears on this Kratom hysteria, we will see that the drug industry are the people who are pushing the FDA to do this. I want to put in perspective. There’s an 80 milligram opioid Oxycontin that’s on the market right now. It’s totally unnecessary, completely unnecessary. It’s the equivalent, Ed, of a person taking 24 Vicodins. 80 milligrams, the equivalent of 24 Vicodins…
